Quiet Day

After the mega travels of yesterday, I decided to have a fairly quiet and uneventful day today. I have spent a lot of time just reading and drinking tea.

I went out to the airport at lunch time, just for a wander round the shops there – most shopping centres are closed on Sundays, but there is always a bit of a buzz at the airport whenever you go. I had a Chinese sweet and sour chicken for my lunch.  On the way to the airport I was stopped in the street by a man who asked “Do you speak English?” I replied that I actually speak it quite well and was able to direct this poor lost Australian back to his hotel! Made me feel like quite a local!

After lunch, more relaxing and then this evening to church at the Zurich venue. It was really quiet this week – seems most people were away. There isn’t another service until 19th August.

Today is the first time I have felt comfortable to go out without my rucksack containing my maps and all sorts of bits and pieces. Needless to say, my waterproof coat was also in my rucksack and it started to rain. Got rather damp walking back from Kloten station to the apartment!
