Not sure when this message will be sent. In bed at 4am Sunday having slept on and off since 6pm yesterday.
Journey was straightforward. Coach arrived a little late, but didn’t cause any problem. Checkin at Heathrow was smooth. T5 is lovely.
Flight left about 45 mins late, but caught up on way and arrived Tokyo on time. Ben didn’t sleep at all on plane, but Annette and I dozed a bit. Watched films.
Found train station under airport and eventually found right train which took us (slowly) to the train station right by our hotel. It was too early to checkin, but they kindly allowed us to leave our cases.
We went to find a café and eventually decided we would head into Tokyo to see the big electronics shopping place – Akihabra. Too tired to do it justice really. Went to a sushi restaurant for a bite to eat then headed back to hotel. Hot and sweaty. Bathed and fell into bed about 6pm.
Bought a few nibbles and drinks from vending machines in hotel.
