Sydney 5

Slept in a bit this morning. I was woken at 3:30 with a phone call from Virgin Media and found it hard to get back to sleep. Caught train to Bondi Junction then bus to Bondi Beach. This is the first time our 5 day travel pass has actually been stamped, so it’s “activated” now and valid for any 5 days in the next 7! Needless to say we won’t be using it beyond Thursday, when we fly to Brisbane, but it’s interesting how laid back the train people are about these passes! Had sandwiches and a sit on Bondi Beach, while Ben did some construction in the sand. It was quite pleasant on the beach. Lots of people surfing, but all wearing full wetsuits. Sunny, but a bit breezy. Had coffees and munches at a beach café (twice) then browsed around the shops before heading back to Bondi Junction, where we did a bit of shop browsing in the mall. Train back to Kings Cross. Bought some postcards and Ben wrote some of his at the hotel. Did pies and peas again for supper! Annette did some more laundry.
